FAQs

Answers to the questions we’re asked most often about prices, scheduling, cancellations and what we can care for. If yours isn’t here, call (207) 561-7322 and Lindsay will answer it.

Absolutely. We request that you either leave your vet’s information at your house, or give it to us personally so we can have it on-hand easily. You will also need to contact your vet and let them know we will be dropping your pet off. Our cars are equipped with strap-in seatbelts and crates upon request, so your animal will be safe.

We have extensive experience, between animal shelters, pet-sitting and pet stores, working with pets of all kinds.

All of our individual clients at the present moment are walked individually or with their doggie brothers/sisters. Should you prefer a walk with another dog, we would require consent from the other party, a meet-and-greet between your pets, and a trial walk.

Yes! Our business is insured by Pet Care Insurance. Details on limits of insurance can be made available upon request.

There is no singular answer for this question as a variety of factors determine price, but our standard rate is $25 for 30 min, for one animal.

Prices can vary depending on distance, number of animals, length of stay and whether it is on a holiday/weekend.

Not only do we have years of experience with animals, but we also pride ourselves on flexibility, communication and empathy. Our consistent clients receive Christmas presents every year and when it’s time for them to cross the rainbow bridge, their human parents will receive a heartfelt memorial gift from us. While we take our business role seriously with insurance and pet first aid certification, the most important thing to us is you knowing your pet is cherished.

Holidays, nights, and weekends incur extra fees; $10 for holidays, $5 for weekends.

Additionally, we do have a cancellation policy. For our weekly clients, we require 24 hour notice. Exceptions can be made by discretion. Should the client cancel within this time frame, the full amount for services are due.

For services that are non-weekly, we require 2 weeks notice for there to be no extra fee (a 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking). If canceled after two weeks but before one week in advance, 50% total will be due. Anything within one week of the booking will require the full amount.

While a hectic environment might be a good fit for some dogs, it doesn't come without its risks. You may know and trust your pup, but you don't know every dog that is enrolled in the daycare's program, which can lead to fighting and disease. With one-on-one care, all those risks are eliminated, leaving you with peace of mind that your animal will be safe and cared for.

A standard walk is 30 minutes and costs $25 for one dog. Longer walks are available. Weekend walks are $5 extra and holiday walks are $10 extra.

We rinse or wipe paws after every winter walk, because road salt cracks pads and dogs lick it off later. If your dog won't tolerate boots, tell us at the meet and greet and we'll plan shorter routes on the coldest days.

A standard drop-in visit is 30 minutes and costs $25 for one animal. Visits of 15 minutes, 45 minutes, an hour or longer are also available.

Tell us the target basking temperature, the feeding schedule (including whether live food goes in), and how often the water gets changed. For fish, we'll want the exact amount of food per feeding, since overfeeding is the most common sitter mistake with tanks.

Your sitter arrives at 7pm and stays in your home until 9am. Overnight sitting is $65 a night; weekend nights are $5 extra and holidays are $10 extra.

You'll hear from us right away, whether it's a pet off their food, a leak or a power outage. If your pet needs a vet visit while you're gone, leave your vet's details with us and let the clinic know we may bring your animal in.

In a sitter's home, living with the household and sleeping in the house rather than in a kennel run. We board in Milford, Lindsay's home, where boarders need to get along with her dogs and cats, and in Portland, a quieter home with far fewer animals.

Enough food for the whole stay plus a couple of extra days, labeled medications with written instructions, a leash and collar or harness with ID tags, a bed or blanket that smells like home, and your vet's name and number.

Constant care suits puppies who can't be left alone yet, elderly animals who need help getting up or settled, recovery after surgery, medication on a tight schedule including overnight doses, and animals with separation anxiety. It's also a good fit for larger packs, where pricing per animal can get costly. Special-needs, elderly and disabled animals are welcome.

The flat $150 rate covers one 24-hour period. Multi-day stays and multiple animals are quoted individually, so call (207) 561-7322 or use the contact form for a price breakdown.

Yes. We can drive your dog to and from the venue, arrive early so they can explore before guests show up, and take them out of the reception before they get overtired.

Wedding pet handling is $110 an hour. Couples who book their wedding with us also get a free photo book of behind-the-scenes pictures of their dogs, taken while you were busy getting married.

Round-trip transportation is $30. We pick your pet up from your home, take them to the appointment, and either wait or come back for them, depending on how long it runs.

Dogs ride secured with a dog seatbelt, and crates are available if you ask ahead of time. Cats travel in their own carrier.
