My pet needs to go to the vet. Will you take them?

Absolutely. We request that you either leave your vet’s information at your house, or give it to us personally so we can have it on-hand easily. You will also need to contact your vet and let them know we will be dropping your pet off. Our cars are equipped with strap-in seatbelts and crates upon request, so your animal will be safe.
Should your animal need to go to the vet in a non-emergency situation, or daycare, and just needs transportation, we will add an upcharge starting at $5 depending on distance.

Do you have experience with rare or exotic pets?

We have extensive experience-between animal shelters, pet-sitting and pet stores- working with pets of all kinds.

How many dogs can you walk at once?

All of our individual clients at the present moment are walked individually or with their doggie brothers/sisters. Should you prefer a walk with another dog, we would require consent from the other party, a paid meet-and-greet between your pets, and a trial walk.

We do, however, have the option to sign up for our Doggy Day Adventure walks which are pack hikes with multiple staff members for 2 hours! We also accept disabled/senior dogs for a less strenuous adventure hike.

What areas do you serve?

We have clients in Etna, Levant, Newport, Orrington, Hampden, Bangor, Glenburn, Hudson, Bradley, Old Town and more!
Starting January 2023, Pet Care by Lindsay is now expanding into the Greater Waterville Area!

Starting in 2024, Pet Care by Lindsay is expanding into the Greater Ellsworth area as well as parts of mid-coast, such as Rockland and Belfast. We are now also in Portland and Cherryfield.

Is your business insured?

Yes! Our business is insured by Pet Care Insurance. Details on limits of insurance can be made available upon request.

What are your prices?

There is no singular answer for this question as a variety of factors determine price, but our standard rate is $25 for 30 min, for one animal.

Prices can vary depending on distance of house from our starting points for the Bangor area, number of animals, length of stay and whether it is on a holiday/weekend.

What makes your business different from the others?

Not only do we have years of experience with animals, but we also pride myself on flexibility and communication. Additionally, we make sure to take down our weekly clients, and clients that we see often, birthday’s so that we can celebrate their birthdays alongside you and your family! They will receive a bandana with their name ironed on, a set of treats and a toy. We also like to give presents throughout the year, such as Valentine’s Day presents, and my favorite, holiday presents! We love to celebrate your furry friends.

What are your extra fees, if any?

Holidays, nights, and weekends incur extra fees; $10 for holidays, $5 for weekends.

Additionally, we do have a cancellation policy. For our weekly clients, we require 24 hour notice. Exceptions can be made by discretion. Should the client cancel within this time frame, the full amount for services are due.

For services that are non-weekly, we require 2 weeks notice for there to be no extra fee (a 25% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking). If canceled after two weeks but before one week in advance, 50% total will be due. Anything within one week of the booking will require the full amount.
